Hello Everyone,
Since the new feedback system took effect I can say that it has done better however those bad sellers still find new ways to revenge themselves by leaving replies to the feedback received which isn't bad cause now someone's feedback speaks for itself.
However, In the case of bad sellers it appears that ebay has decided to take a step back to suspension, before it used to be 5% of feedback (totalling neutrals and negatives) would be a cause for suspension based on the total over the last 6 months.
I would like to see Ebay do something more in regards to those repeat offenders... I understand that Ebay will tolerate bad powersellers more so than your occasional seller but they need Ebay as well... I'm thinking of a considerable amount $$ for getting an account restored would definately make more of a dent.

Ebay New Feedback System for A Greater Good
Hello All,
Well, good news finally Ebay is planning to change their feedback system to not allow the sellers negative feedback. There are petition sites now from sellers that disagree with this change however I believe it's for the greater good. There are far too many bad sellers out there that use the feedback system to discourage buyers from putting in negative feedback when it ought to be mentioned.
If you look at A Nightmare on Ebay, a post I created here during the holidays you could see that this seller truly abuses the feedback system. I even wanted to leave her negative feedback as well but I didn't simply because I feared a retaliatory negative from her and I didn't want any her to tarnish my 100% feedback rating.
Unfortunately, for the good sellers we cannot report bad payers but I can accept this sacrifice as a seller because I know that my product is good and it's all about customer service. Example: if a client of yours is about to leave you a negative they'll definitely let you know in advance to why giving you a chance to discuss the situation and I have no problems giving my client a discount to fix a situation. In other cases there are buyers who leave frivolous negatives well your overall feedback record will speak for itself because people can see that if you have 1 negative on 1000.... Chances are.
In Conclusion, I believe that Ebay has to do this change because they have way too many bad sellers that abuse the current feedback system. I believe that this will now encourage good buyers to come forward and give their feedback instead of saying nothing at all.

A Nightmare on Ebay
Dear Readers,
I would like to start off this blog I created by saying that it isn't to discourage people from using good services like Ebay and Paypal to find great deals on goods. In fact, I encourage people to use these services and use them wisely. This Year I decided that I'd do my Christmas shopping on
Ebay early enough to receive all items in time for Christmas
so that I'd end up saving. In fact, excluding this seller I managed
to spend 1/4 of what I normally would. Thanks Ebay :)
On the 11th of November 2007, I found these items
which were to be gifts this Christmas for a Hockey fan in my Family.
All in all I was quite pleased for it was a good deal on the Items and Shipping rates
appeared to be quite reasonable. As for the person's feedback I have to say I glanced
at it without reading them much to my regret for statisticly her feedback is good 98.5%
and I know that in high volume sales you cannot please everyone so I didn't think much
of it at the time for the first email was quite professional here have a look.
Given US Customs part didn't really apply to me for both the seller and I
live in Canada. Nevertheless, afew days after I sent her an email requesting shipping confirmation to which she responded that I would get an email confirmation once item
ships in accouple of days.. Which was totally fine because I did do the purchase on
the 13th and it was the week of Rememberance Day so being in the Delivery business
as well I could understand alittle backlog to catch up on.
However, my wife started to get worried on the 23rd of November and sent her
a nice email asking her what the status was at now to which we found out the following:
Dear bunnyroger,
Hi,
I just figured out what happened to your order. The watch was not working so I have another coming in next week Sorry for the delay but I expect to be here Mid week.

I Couldn't belive it...10days after payment and no update until this. I became concerned
so I opened a paypal case and attempted to address my concerns with her via the dispute console to which she never responded yet
On the 28th of November I again tried to resolve the conflict nicely by simply asking her
for a refund so I didn't care what her situation was nor did I have the Intension of
leaving her negative either all what I wanted was my money back.
Again without any response I had to regretfully escalate my dispute for a Claim with
paypal. Paypal gave the seller till the 12th of December to comunicate with me to
resolve this conflict unfortunately, she communicated to paypal on the very last moment
that Item now shipped (you will notice from negative feedback left by others she has
a pattern of doing this to people) At that hour of the morning I know that
she simply submitted the shipping details to Canadapost and I'm still wondering if she actually dropped it off yet.

At this point I decided to call Paypal to discuss the situation, the agent whom I
was speaking to eas quite empathic to my situation however they told me that
this seller was adhering to the seller rules even though she was pushing the limits
and that they'd keep a close eye on my shipping details through Canadapost for
should they see no update within the next 8 days they would move on to the next step.
Since this post was created here's the latest update on my situation: Paypal decided in my favor for a full refund.
Unfortunately, because the issue has been resolved through paypal I may not be in my right to leave her negative feedback for this seller however she really does deserve it...unless she does it to me first I'll be glad to point people to this page.
I had to see her history and I found out how disturbing it was..
This buyer has nothing but contempt for anyone who leaves her negative feedback,
from her responses to them she is rude and condesending taking it to a personal level
with the buyers. See some here for yourself going back to the first of July. I hope this
helps buyers access the type of character they may have to deal with.

I never made it to the 1st of July because I'm in disgust from reading this many already
.... I even jumped afew ... In my humble opinion This seller simply exists on ebay because
of high volume sales and I urge you my dear reader that if you haven't bid on what you
were looking at from whatever this buyer has listed please go over this article again
if you are unsure on wheter you're going to bid pr not.
However, if you are the next unfortunate person I would invite you to share your story
on this Blog I made in hopes that others may learn.
As for you v2777mr, I think you owe alot of people a sincere apology , I think you should seriously aquire customer service skills from people who work in the Industry. I belive you ought to keep a professional stance with your dealings with disputes by responding to those emails you receive and not attack people on a personal level..
I do belive that there is hope for you v2777mr but don't think about asking me to remove
this blog because everything here is all public domain however I would do it if you withdraw
every negative and neutral feedbacks you've ever left anyone due to your abuse of a system
that was designed to ensure fairness.

I never made it to the 1st of July because I'm in disgust from reading this many already
.... I even jumped afew ... In my humble opinion This seller simply exists on ebay because
of high volume sales and I urge you my dear reader that if you haven't bid on what you
were looking at from whatever this buyer has listed please go over this article again
if you are unsure on wheter you're going to bid pr not.
However, if you are the next unfortunate person I would invite you to share your story
on this Blog I made in hopes that others may learn.
As for you v2777mr, I think you owe alot of people a sincere apology , I think you should seriously aquire customer service skills from people who work in the Industry. I belive you ought to keep a professional stance with your dealings with disputes by responding to those emails you receive and not attack people on a personal level..
I do belive that there is hope for you v2777mr but don't think about asking me to remove
this blog because everything here is all public domain however I would do it if you withdraw
every negative and neutral feedbacks you've ever left anyone due to your abuse of a system
that was designed to ensure fairness.
